Pivot Arm Awnings
These awnings project outwards from the top of the window, door or opening at an angle, creating an arc that allows air to flow behind the fabric. Their design enables the window to be opened whilst the awning is projected, allowing air to flow into the room beyond. When not in use, the awning can be retracted into an enclosed head box at the top of the window; this will protect it against damage and from the elements.
Where to Use
Pivot arm awnings can be used on most windows, doors and other openings all around the home with ease. They are particularly useful for casement windows, which open outwards, as they allow plenty of space for the window without hindering the operation of the awning. They are also a great fit for bifolding and sliding doors, as other doors tend to extend too far outwards, ensuring that you can access your home even whilst the awning is closed.
Why choose Pivot Arm Awnings from Energy Window Fashions?

FAQs about our Pivot Arm Awnings
What sorts of operation are available?
Energy Window Fashions offers motorised or crank (manual) controls for our pivot arm awnings. The controls can be located inside the home for maximum convenience.
Are these awnings suitable for windy areas?
As these awnings are spring-loaded, they hold the fabric taut. This, coupled with their durable frames, makes them suited to moderately windy locations of up to 50km per hour. They should be retracted during storms, however.
What finishes are available for the frame?
The arms, hood and front rails are available in two finishes – sleek anodised aluminium or powdercoated – for your convenience.
